Let Freedom Ring® Supports Disaster Relief

SAN ANTONIO — Clarke American supports disaster relief efforts through its Let Freedom Ring product. Building on its long-established partnership with the American Red Cross, Clarke American is helping communities along the Gulf Coast devastated by Hurricane Katrina—communities that were home to its customers, associates, and partner financial institutions.

Clarke American will donate $1 for checks and $.50 for labels from its Let Freedom Ring design to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The company features the opportunity to contribute via its phone channel and Internet sites.

Let Freedom Ring products, which feature patriotic images, were launched in 2002, with donations to the Red Cross continuing since 2001 — and especially now for those affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. “Our prayers and thoughts are with the individuals, families, and all those who have been impacted by this catastrophic natural disaster,” said Chuck Dawson, Clarke American CEO.

More than $200,000…and rising
Through Let Freedom Ring, Clarke American expects to contribute more than $200,000 this year to the Disaster Relief Fund. The Disaster Relief Fund enables the American Red Cross to respond immediately when disaster strikes with shelter, food, counseling and other assistance.

For the company’s significant financial gifts to Red Cross programs, Clarke American received the American Red Cross 2005 Circle of Humanitarians Award in February. Since Clarke American launched its cause-related check program in 1994, product sales have provided more than $4.7 million in financial assistance to charities and nonprofit groups.
